Here's a little bit of what I was working on. This section didn't have any trees greater than 5" to clear, but there was massive amounts of vines and brush mixed in. It was particularly tricky with the slope. Slow and careful with the tractor. It took almost 2 hrs to clear from the tractor down to the post in this picture. Sorry I didn't get a "before" pictures.View attachment 346288

We just pick up or first tanned sheep hides from last year's slaughter. There are very few people who can/will tan sheep hides and we are lucky to have one of the best only 75 miles away. We were very happy with the results. We'll probably keep a couple for ourselves, but will be selling most of them. Gotta pay for hay/grain/fencing/Vets, etc...

That's neat! Do you use them for coat linings or other keep warm products?

Took a grinder to the texture where laces go. Also read that’s incorrect protocol but it is done often. The correct way is hand chisels and such. I’m pretty confident in my grinder ability. Went with that.

Got to demo one of these today… kind of.

Sales rep said we could bale up 50 bales with it. He showed up with no owners manual & not a lot of answers to my questions. It was throwing codes & having some issues but I managed to knock out about 15 bales with it. The tech was there trying to get things ironed out when I left, hopefully they get it fixed & Chase guilts them into letting us use it tomorrow.

About 800 bales on the power unit but it’s got a new bale chamber on it.

800 bales and it needed a new bale chamber? Seems like not a ton of work done. Well who knows what happen to the old one. I’ve never actually seen one of those
