That’s where I just knocked the wheat over and scratched it with the “disk” coming out of the ground. I couldn’t pinch the row shut so I did that to keep planter moving. Probably prime wire worm area but I think it’ll probably get up and growing now. It’s also corn on corn.

I think if it’s good and warm corn can kinda outgrow the little bastards

Sweet corn is coming up nicely.

We have a 3 day window here with some 90 degree days so I figured I’d take a whack at some early hay. This field was drilled in last year so it’s good to get the first cut cleared off and keep all the weeds from seeding.


And for Jake and anyone else wondering I’m running a 4240 with a NH 1431 Discbine.

Still waiting on it to dry up so bean planting can finish up, not much hay being mowed yet. Basically the guessers are saying rain here thru Thursday. It’s going to be a madhouse when it does dry up.

That what we had. I had about .02”, going to check things out tomorrow to see if maybe we can do some planting. Guessers are saying pretty good chance for some nasty stuff tomorrow night

Good looking repairs! We had quite a few repairs earlier this Spring. This weekend we were installing through our thick woods. Not fun, but necessary.

For the diagonals on the braces I just use a standard wind up strainer. I'm a little skeptical about the gripples, just because they are relatively new and I'm not sure about the long term. That said, the Bakaert wire mesh fencing I've been installing comes with Gripples, so I've been using them instead of crimps to connect sections of fencing. We'll see how they hold up.
