Just smooth it out... You'll be fine.

With what??? Will the diamond stone I use for saw sharpening work? Also, if I need to smooth the inside of the port, can I just hand file it with a round file?

I know there needs to be a bevel, and I don't want to chip the plating, and I have never done this before.

I often use a broken off saw file to clean up the inside of ports. I like to "pull" the filings out to avoid chipping the plating. The chain sharpening bit will do a fine job of not letting you go too far.

If the diamond will remove the spot, use it. Diamond won't chip the plating. If it requires a file, flip it end for end and pull it from the cylinder rather than push it into it.

Thanks for that.

I looked at mine quickly but didn't study it. Looked fine. Mine is one of the early prototypes with a slight defect. Has 5mm holes for 064 rather than 6mm, or something to that effect

He built 2 cyl one for the 66 using 6mm screws on the bigger 66 bolt pattern and one 54 mm for the 064 but with the 064 bolt pattern so it will bolt on with 5 mm longer than stock screws

I just built a 064 with a cross top end and used 5 mm longer bolts because the base is twice as thick as a oem 064 cyl the 064 is different timing numbers than the 066 says randy

It ran good sounded healthy
