IMG_3049.JPG IMG_3050.JPG Hoping to pull the jug tonight. Time has been a big issue for me.

Gonna add 4* of intake. Will get some piston wash pics.

Made this last night for it. With the screens, the exhaust outlet size can be deceivingly smaller than they look.

My saws are all at 20/1000, no complaints. I don't think you need to go more. W/O putting a timing light on it, you run the risk of diminishing returns.

My take on it is to keep work saws safe. I'm not sure you will detect too much advance till years later when your piston does not look good.

Interesting, the one size fits all method.

The larger the diameter flywheel, the more it's getting advanced for the same key file.

That's why I go .025 on smaller saws and .020 on the bigger guys.

I do the Husky 262 1/2 key.

Now, if I can just find the time, this saw will come back apart.

According to @David Young Torquesoft calculator,

I need 1.3mm or .062" off the intake floor to get from 74 to 78* intake.

Anyone have a spare 440 piston laying no around?

I need the intake skirt to crown height in millimeters to cross reference with the lambretta software. The lambretta software doesn't let you add in the results and then calculate backwards like the torquesoft does.

Al, I have a new 10mm piston in the box and a used (fried) 440 piston. U need me to measure them?

The original piston in 044#1 has the wings and was a bit taller than the replacement, so I left it in.
