Further *f-wordery on the 5 series.

Heres an exhaust port on a 562 I'm porting this morning. Yeah....it will run, but shouldn't there be someone in the QC department who looks at this (very typical on the 5 series to have terrible looking exhaust ports) and say, "Surely we could do better" ????

The squish area is rather nice though...

or did you already work your magic there?

that exhaust roof is a mess thought least it still has enough chamfer to not hang the ring..

Yeah....I already cut the squish and the base. It's tough to get a really nice finish on these jugs. The alloy they are made from is tough to cut without it balling up.

Where they’re 950 locally and a bar isn’t 200$ so not comparing msrp. The local dealer sells at msrp and a 572 is 200$ less than a 462.

I didn't wanna call him a liar.......LOL

I get a fleet discount, and pay more than that.

Too many parts from who knows where, put together in an outdated assembly assembly plant by workers that don't get it. I also wonder how much of these saws are actually made in Sweden. I mean I'm kind of a Husky guy, but I also have eyes and ears, the casting are rough, the plastic forms are not made well, or they use them too long. Same deal happened to Boeing.

Jay Rutkiewicz told me he has seen factory exhaust ports on 5 series so flat they hang rings.

The 572 exhaust port. Hard to get good pics.

Big divot on three sides.

Lots of room for improvement here.....and likely where most gains are had when porting.

Heavy handed M-fer with the die grinder at that factory should be taken out and shot!
Likely needed a light touch to smooth the transition from the liner to casting,,he made it 10x worse!

If you're referring to the divot, it looks like part of the casting to me, it wasn't ground in.
