I guess he is still doing "business" as we had a PM discussion in upgrading my Dolmar 6400 to a 7910 on AS just last month.
I checked, this conversation was in late July and his account seems to be gone at AS now. He quoted me $325, was that a fairly normal price?
Only if his work was up to par.I get 325.00 on most saws with return FedEx shipping included. On saws that need a coil swap I get 40.00 - 80.00 extra.
Bigger saws are 350.00 because of added shipping. New MS880s need about 300.00 worth of extra parts to run like I want em too. 3120XPs are more because I swap the coils out, and add a HS jet to the carb.
So.......yeah. His price is in line.

Thank you, off to sell some blood
If I did em any cheaper I'd really be buried. I'm always 6 - 8 weeks behind as it is.

Check out the builder reviews here on the site. Plenty of reputable builders here.I hope this whole SAWGATE thing doesn't hurt the reputable saw builders. I know I was contemplating getting some work done, but then all this came to light and it has slowed my ambitions to send my stuff out to someone I really don't know and trust it comes back better than before, or at all.
