Not just me Sir, Doc Al @drf256 is going to be setting up his lathe for this as well. Easier to ship everything to me, then the good Doc and I are going to work together on getting you all squared away ........ nothing like teamwork to get the job done !!
I can't thank both of you enough. I know how expensive this equipment is, not to mention your time.

The first couple of things I noticed is that there is a handlebar screw, meant to thread into plastic, used to hold the top cover on. So, that hole is farked...
The other thing is that the screw holes for the handlebar in th tank are stripped. They just spin, but stay in there. I actually approached J about it when I got the saw, and he said he didn't know that, and that they didn't need to be tight anyways, as long as they kept the handlebar in place...IMG_0467.JPG IMG_0466.JPG

I would fill them with Loctite PL Prem, let it dry for 2 days, and re drill (and tap) as necessary. It is good stuff and easy to use. Comes in a caulking tube. Color will be a close match for the tank holder.
I figured helicoils inserted with JB weld.
