A 17lb, 9-10 true HP saw, with spring A/V, Quad ports and strato, with either Auto Tune, or M-Tronic would be the holy grail saw. Between cutting large Osage Orange, and Oaks, the 660 will do it, but like @Douglas Ostrander says"Overkill is Underrated". I believe very much in that. And, a new 881 or 5120 with the above features, is actually affordable, unlike a decent shape 1966 GTO, 1969 Nova, 1970 Chevelle, 1967 Mustang, 1968 Charger, 1966 Stingray Droptop, or 1966 Shelby Cobra 289... It's a different type of hotrod, but at this stage in my life, that's what financially feasible. Now in another 20 years? We'll see!
You should consider a new 880. Ported, of course

You are talking about a ported 395.. Well it's not strato.

Very nice. OEM carb? Or any carb modifications? I thought I read somewhere an 880 needed a different carb to be made right.

Carb/boot out of an 088 and whatever coil they use. That's with no porting and just done to get a new ms880 back up to 088 stock power.
The stock ms880 with smaller inside diameter boot and carb probly flows higher velocity after porting? IDK enough on the porting side of things moparmyway's ms880 runs strong without the carb boot mod as we can see.

Maybe that bark box would be better if it exhausted out the other side?

Most all of my mufflers are modded out the other side. No real problems at all.

Yeah but I’m guessing you made them go out front and to the side at an angle. This runs straight out the side and looks like a big exit so I would imagine it would cook your hand going the other way
