@drf256. Al I'm working on a couple 034's and have both standard 46mm one Mayle and one KS the mahle is open port the KS is closed or bridged ? Is one better then the other ? Thanks

KS has decomp boss and 2nd fin on transfer ?Mahle has no boss? And no fin on trans area ?

Which one do I use ? Think I'm gonna try open port Mahle ?

I would have said the mahle will be a better runner, due to it being fully open transfur. A bit like the ms200. But it would still depend on timing numbers.
Pop a timing wheel on and post the numbers, someone will say what's the better to use stock or ported.

Don't have a degree wheel yet ? And when I do I'm gonna have questions. Lol
Think I'm gonna try mahle on side adjust made in Germany case ?
I don't know if someone swapped cases along time ago or not serial

I'm still trying to work out my 036,, I've had it apart, to change the muff from a pee-shooter to a farmatec. still early days but was wondering what may lie beneath the pot.
Anyhow here's some pics, I guess I could add more

I felt this way until recently.. .Would you class an ms200t, an early 034 or a 365 as homeowner? I have or have had all 3 and I feel the 034 has some serious umph as a 56cc open and the Jonny-red 2065 (365) is open port and may be slower revving than the 372xp but as of yet is very hard to bog down and is a torque piggy. The 034's and 365's are the same build as the closed counterparts so all I can see them loosing out on is chain speed. But for ham fisted users like me they gain the low down grunt.. IMO

From what I understand all 036's/360's/034 supers are closed ports and early 034's are open.. Is this is what you are about finding?

My 034 has the front chain tensioner : - ( ... but it is a closed port cylinder (not sure it it is original, but that is how I got it).

Some of the 034 cases with front tension didnt have adjustable oiler either nor the hole in bottom of case for the oiler.i have had and built a nice 034 side tension with a ks closed port
