P.S. my wiha t27 has snapped hundred of screws and never gave me cause for concern, heck I rarely use a "Holy loosener " on them....
You must be very strong !!!

If I break a tip in a screw I use a pick to wiggle it

Looks like the cylinder will clean up quite easily. Check out those crank and rod bearings really close.

I think it was that junk that was on there that made it look that way . I'll check it out closer when I get back home though.

does the case have to be split to check the bearings ? I don't have much experience in pro saws . Little different than clamshells .

Just make sure you don't have any vertical or horizontal movement on the ends of the crank and that the crank spins nice and smooth.
To check the rod bearing you'll have to spin the crank. Make sure the bearing cage doesn't have any missing pieces and that it isn't cracked anywhere. The rod will slide side to side and may even rock a bit. Make sure it doesn't have any vertical play

If the rod bearing is shot your best option is to find another crank.
If you have a bad crank bearing you will have to split the cases to change it

Yep I was sure surprised that the jug wasn't totaled . It didn't sound right at all when it ran. It sounded really weak or something like that. I can't really explain it.
