Sounds like fun, but your 066 is a BRUTE!!! I also got an 044 and a 440!
Most saws are 160-180How high is the compression supposed to be on the 046 ?
no I didn't yet. I'll be home in an hour and I'm gonna check it out.My 046 (SN 140***) had compression (stock) of 175. After porting it is 205.
Did you pull the muffler & check your piston & cylinder?
Front corner of the cylinder base is cracked tooHard to tell from my phone, but it that a big chunk of piston missing?
Must be running some of the new Ashless oil people keep talking about? Man, that entire picture is ugly
It happens. We tried 4 different t27's on @Time's Standing Stihl's saw in Iowa. Only one that would get it was my Irwin. I got home and it snapped off 3 bolts later. I've since bought 2 of the impact rated 6" Irwin t27.and I broke my t wrench and still didn't get one base screw loose . Lol
He should have rung me up at $125. If he sells it to me I'll still sell you the cylinderThat ones dickered. I'd love to see more pictures of the carnage when you get that cylinder off.
I'm betting it's gonna need crank bearings, crank, piston and cylinder. Maybe more
