So what's the current two stroke oil favorite?

I use 6.4oz of oil in a 2 gallon can of ethanol free gas. I run this mix in everything I have and I’ve never run into any ooze coming from the exhaust. Just picked up another quart of Amsoil Saber. Now I did try a two gallon can of some Pennzoil XLF at 32:1 for my Lawn-Boys and I had oil drips from the muffler. The first and last time I used that mix. Still have the jug of XLF with 3-1/2 quarts left in it.

I also think it also depends on the oil / Once I saw some mud in the muffler, I think someone poured a lot of poor quality oil, I have a photo somewhere, if I find it I will post it

Absolutely. Oil quality has a lot to do with it too.

Torn apart a husky 353 today.
The Maxima Super M seems to leave a very greasy feeling oil film in the saw like the caster oil.
Super M is new to me oil, I run Dom for a while.
The Dominator is not that greasy.

I bought some Stihl orange bottle yesterday while i was at Ace Hardware🤷🏻‍♂️

That's what papaw always used and I don't remember him ever having any problems, or being very particular about ratio. I have an old metal can of it from his garage. It dates to when Stihl specified 40:1. I always have a bunch of synthetic oil in the garage, but if orange bottle was all I had then I would use it without worry. I have some Husky XP I need to get around to trying.
