Spent a few hours this afternoon splitting wood at my Daughter's. A little over 1.5 cord of Red Oak, Black Locust and Black Cherry.

I did all the splitting, my SIL stacked.

Still able to get all those large Oak & Cherry rounds up w/o going to vertical mode! I'll keep doing it for as long as I can, got to fight Old Man Time every inch of the way!

dragged a deer out of the woods this morning that I shot last evening. Brought it home and skinned it, that thing was all nasty with gangrene. Must have been hit by a vehicle or something. Anyway, wound up burying it with the Bobcat. Lot of work for nuttin. Then grabbed a shower and went to church. Vegged this afternoon. Was a nice break after a hectic week.

Not much going on around here today, winter is finally here so I'm doing very little with my saws or customer saws. I did do a little painting on my 3.7 Roper. Air box cover was broken and I epoxied it together and trying to make it look presentable. New fuel lines and carb cleaning+kit, hope it runs!

I finally got around to repairing my thrown skip chain. That thing had more burrs than my boot laces in spring lol. Finally got it running smoothly around the bar, just in time for some cutting this weekend.

So far I watched this winters first real snow out the window.
Looks very calming.

Someone is going to have go outside and shovel the private access road free of it.
Might as well get the fireplace going, take care of the snow and then call it quits for this weekend.

Spent a little time on the roof today since the weather was so nice (36F). Trying to remove the clogged cap from my chimney pipe. It was all creosoted up from only a few uses and I had to destroy the cap to remove it. Wish I knew something to take creosote off with. Guess I could try something strong like lacquer thinner or paint remover..Ended up pulling a muscle in my leg and had to come down for the day..

Slept in late like a baby grizzly, went out and stared at a pile of oak rounds that need splitting, ate a steak biscuit, mailed the last Christmas cards, talked to my 83 yr old Pops.
Six hrs later it was a half a slab of ribs from Dreamland BBQ.
Attempted to watch, The Hateful 8...all efforts proved futile!
Gotta break till Jan 8... :dancer2:
Merry Christmas to all you studs!!!

So, when a lot of people from other places think of NY, they just picture NYC. They don't realize we have the rugged Catskill and Adirondack Mtn ranges and that you can hunt bear in NY.

Also, there is a place in upstate NY that often has the record snow fall for the US, and is currently leading the race this year with 83 inches already!

I love me some Dreamland. Anytime we go to a Bama game we either go there or Full Moon
