I know how you feel. At 68 the ground is no place to work. My bend over is hardly working compared to before also. The knees are shot, one has been replaced.
But I still enjoy every day and will keep going. I just have to decide what chores I want to do each day. Was changing hydraulic fluid in lawn tractor yesterday, little sore today. Lay a moving blanket down and lay on it to reach the bottom bolts.

Set the drone on a trailer to see if I can't build a landing area for it so it'll touch down in the exact same spot every time. Sloped walls to aid in landing in the same place and supports for the arms when it's landed so I don't have to fold it in and out every time I move fields. I plan to put the flatbed FL70 in front of it with the hot mix tank and generator and will need to build a walkway from the truck to the trailer so I don't have to climb over the jack and front of the trailer every time I want to fill it and swap batteries. "New tech" on the left and the "old tech" on the right. The bonkers things is that if this drone can achieve close to what it's advertised at I can spray about the same per hour or per day with it as the big sprayer.

Worked on the woodshed before meeting someone to sell a saw. On the way back home I hit 215k miles and a deer. This suck because the element is down too with a charging issue so I need to use the truck for anything that I can’t stuff in the civic. Needs a hood and hood hinges, grill and the rad support pulled. The headlight can get glued back together. I have a matching hood laying here for some reason. Probably not going to turn it in to insurance. They’ll want to total it and who knows if they’ll take stuff off the estimate so it doesn’t total out.IMG_7494.jpeg

is it too early to know if these things will be cost effective vs the old tech?

hmm, grinding sparks and bare feet, hmm 🤣 I hear welding with sandals is a bit more exciting.
I was seeing the sparks and dry leaves in the middle of summer in California (summer season - February to end of November).

Finished mulching, took a hour with the weedeater to fix the leftovers.
That time has got to come down, I will be cutting low branches so that the tractor & mulcher can get more done.

A whole lot of dirt got stuck on the housing around the mulcher drum.
I may try mulching with the back door open next time.

Will it mulch with the door open?
Yes, manual even says to crack the door open when mulching tall grass or corn fields.

It would not be open like in the picture above.
It'd be some 2-3" up allowing material to be spat out easier & faster.

Made more dirt flat. I’m up to around 350a prepped for beans that we’ll hopefully start planting on Monday. Should be able to blast them in the ground over 5-6 days and start on corn. It’s been cold and wet and we’re a few weeks behind already.
