Farting about today gave me stock ms231 a run ripping some nasty hard gum firewood blocks.
Can't lie I'm impressed with this little homeowner saw.
If it was the only saw I owned I'd definitely not go cold in winter👍

Outside temperature this morning is -17° F (-27C).

What I'm planning to do today is stay warm.

Mark
How do you stay alive in that cold chit lol

Here is about 11:30pm at night and is a mild 23C (73F)
And daytime temps getting up around 34C (93F) and we only 4 days into summer.
I'm up on a mountain with mild weather the next town over bout 40min away out on the flat it still be like 38C (100F) 9:30 at night lol

Replaced a u-joint on my Ranger . It had been so long since I did this task I forgotten what a miserable job it was . I used a GMB replacement joint and if I ever do another it will be a Spicer .Never again in the dead of winter laying on a concrete floor .

I would like to have such equipment 😉👍
I have lots of old stuff
Used to gold mine but the goberment took the mine and we got the shaft. Made a park out of the area.
So got into construction here with the equipment. Been delivering heating fuel for 28 years and wanted to get into firewooding for semi retirement.
Purpose bought that buncher as it is the smallest one Cat made, next I got a Cat Skidder to go with it. They both have the same engine as my 950 loader. The loader and Skidder share the same drivetrain.
My house is in the Industrial Subdivision so nobody can tell me not to park my toys in the yard.

I’ve been burning trash since the beginning of October. There’s ton of old magazines and books but I never dug through anything other than looking for plastic or anything that won’t explode. Today I dumped every box and bag first. I knew good stuff was going in but it had to be done before the snow so I get a track loader up the hill.IMG_5302.jpegIMG_5300.jpegIMG_5299.jpegIMG_5298.jpegIMG_5294.jpeg

Duck hunted this morning then came home and cleaned the birds with a couple beers. Have been watching the UFC fights since
with a couple 3 or 4 more beers….Not productive today but a fun one

I always grab photos if there is a name on them. This was in the trash from yesterday’s clean out. The guy on the right had the easiest name to spell and read the cursive. I dug through records and obituaries to find relatives. The guy on the rights now 90 year old daughter popped up a few miles from me. I showed up tonight with it and you would have thought she won the publishers clearing house. The photo is from 1981. I’m sure she didn’t expect this when a dirty pickup with trash cans in the bed pulled in.
