Goldies are a special kind of dog .We had a stray for a while until we found the owners .They are retrievers and that guy retrieved piles of stuff and nicely had a pile of stuff he discovered in my woods heaped up in my back yard .Wheel barrow tires, firewood ,misc junk he thought was interesting. He was a half grown pup too young to hike his leg . I'd have kept him in a New York minute but when the farm kids who lost him came around I knew he was going back home . Funny part was it was in December and my wife (RIP ) worried he would get too cold outside .I explained to her that breed originated in the Scottish high lands where it gets as cold a well drillers butt .

It's my goal in life to own a Cannon Duralite.

Based on how solid this one looks and feels, I may buy a 32 versus another Stihl ES Light. It feels like i could honestly get close to twice the life of and ES Light, and that would cover the 60% price increase over the Stihl. I just have to not bend it or destroy it to make that extra life matter.

Went out to tidy up the #1 shed. Who knew there was a workbench under all those random tools and OPE parts?

The missus just bought a big greenhouse, so I was able to evict some of the gardening stuff that had crept in. Swept out about a yard of leaves, squirrel poop, and related debris.

This is more exciting than it sounds, because I'm recovering from back pain and depression. My yard, shed and OPE, especially saws, have been shamefully neglected, so now I'm feeling almost like a useful human.

I don’t own a sawmill but a guy I know named Pat does !! I had him out to mill up a few logs that were just too nice to turn into hot water.

There are a few red oak logs that are quite large. I can’t believe how clear they are so far !!

I also had a few black walnut logs milled up. This is the little one. The largest was around 24” diameter and made some beautiful boards !!
