We used to fly this around. It’s interesting in high winds. He sold it for something a little fancier. I haven’t seen it in person yet.Today I was prepping the car for a road trip. We're heading up to the Atlanta airport to pick up our son and then driving up to Shelby, NC this evening. He is purchasing an antique airplane there and tomorrow we're going to fly it up to MI. It's a long flight, weather looks iffy and the plane has no electrical system so it's going to be a challenging adventure. He has a capable program on an ipad so we should have the navigation resources we need. It's doable in a day but may need 3 if we can't do an end run east of the weather. He usually flies helicopters for the coast guard so it will be the first time he's flown an airplane in some years. I'm current so that isn't an issue. Everyone is excited about the new to him plane including Groundie who is going to be the chase vehicle.
The story of the" reclaiming" of the Great Plains tells it all. Kill off the grizzly, wolf population explosion. Kill off the wolves, coyote population explosion. Kill off the coyote, rabbit population explosion. Kill off the rabbits............. So on and so on. I'm all for farming and ranching, but gaddang you got to wreck the whole place?I realize in some areas Fox are a problem but here they are rare and harmless. The low down, worthless, Coyotes eat the Fox kits
I have some questions about training and flight time that you (or many others) can probably explain in great detail. I want to preface my questions by clearly saying I know zero about the requirements and I am asking out of genuine interest. What type of training does someone have to go through in their pursuit of being able to legally... hell more importantly, safely fly a small plane? Once they are legally allowed to fly what type of continuing education, training, flight time, etc must they do? My next question is going to seem very stupid but is there a bare minimum uncorrected vision score and bare minimum corrected vision score required?Today I was prepping the car for a road trip. With all due respect I believe you might be over-simplifying it. I would love a separate discussion thread on the subject(s) but as we all know sometimes things get contentious. The story of the" reclaiming" of the Great Plains tells it all. It's a summary. Summaries are short and simplified. If anything, I tend to over complicate. With all due respect I believe you might be over-simplifying it. I would love a separate discussion thread on the subject(s) but as we all know sometimes things get contentious.
I have seen multiple "re-introductions" .............none worked as intended. It's a summary. Summaries are short and simplified. If anything, I tend to over complicate.
