church this morning, quick Chinese lunch, cut a bunch of limbs out of a few pines with a manual pole saw, mowed the airstrip, ate some graham crackers and milk for supper, now resting. Very busy week upcoming followed by unemployment...

Pulled out firewood all day and dropped some dead Ash. Took the 562 and 372 and had a little fun with them. Found some big wood to test drive the 395 in when I get it built.

jimmy how much weight are you pulling with the gravely ?
Pulled...um I think the 26' travel trailer was around 6500lbs. Its my regular use mower. Been mowing 2 acres, at least once a week since that video. Logged about 400 hrs since then.

Moves everything Ive hooked it to.

Spent the afternoon gutting the living room/great room. We're growing my wife's custom quilting business by bring in a longarm machine. We leave Thursday for Richmond, VA to attend mandatory training (they won't sell it to us without it) and it'll be delivered the following Tuesday.

By accident I found out a good excuse for owning multiple chainsaws, running out of fuel. Was running the mill and cutting up all the slab wood, ends of logs, bumping knots and cutting up edgings winds up to be a bit of chainsaw work. So as they ran out of gas, I just grabbed the next one and continued instead of refueling/oiling. Even had the old Homelite Xl102 out hot rodding for a bit. Told myself I wouldn't start that ornery old 281 wearing a 32" bar, guess there is such a thing as overkill after all.

Yeah, we resigned from our long term position as director of aviation with a mission. Been with them 20 years so "job hunting" is going to be a new experience for me. The last time I looked for work was in 1991. Our last day of activity will be the 15th of this month and we'll get health insurance until the end of October. I don't just need to "dust off" my resume, I need to create one. My last one was probably done on a typewriter. Gonna look for some kind of flying job that doesn't require relocation.

Worked 8 today with holiday pay and was scheduled a quick return for 11-7. Kicking back ready to eat dinner and crash! Big money day at work!

Does the second run bring double time?

Thought I was going to be working on power saws or something today until my phone rang and a buddy of mine needed help moving a shed with a skid steer. Was quite the interesting day. Just not too much more important to me than helping others in need.
