Started the day with a nice bull session over coffee and breakfast with my cousin, Friend came over with a pinched bar nose to be sorted out. Then we cut some firewood that was in the way, split it and started a holz hausen. Moved the splitter, and cleaned up mess with the CASE crawler. Moved in a borrowed edger next to the sawmill and set it up. Edged some already cut boards to try it out, worked pretty darn slick. Hooked the mail man up with a hollow log for bonfires. Then we live sawed some Norway then ran that through the edger. After dinner I worked in the shop on my power saw. Was a busy but fun day.

We towed a couple of C-17's that were outside into two empty hangar bays (hangars are full now with ten C-17's)...chocked and pad-eyed with cables other airplanes that can't get under roof, moved flight controls strapped onto trailers into the hangars as well. Looks like the hurricane will skirt a little more southeast, just below mid-Ga, than they had anticipated late last night. Nonetheless, calling for a boatload of rain and high winds.

Scrubbed on the filthy 266 some more. May be a decent saw in there after all.

Oh yeah there is, you betcha. You do your part to it and it'll do you just fine. Those were very good saws in there day to the pros. Still are relevant today as well. Make for real top notch firewood cutters. Hard to find a 266 by me, guys that have them won't part with 'em for nothing.

Really haven't found any exceptions to it yet. Still have to pull the flywheel, coil, clutch and oiler off and then split it. So far so good. The Sugi that came with it is on my 2186 .
