Set up and adjusted my new miter saw and stand.

I "almost" bought a Harbor Freight 12" double compound miter saw today as I had a 25% off coupon. I looked it over pretty well and just couldn't do it. I told Groundi that it may cost 4 times as much but I was going to get a better quality one since I anticipate using it a fair amount. I buy quite a few HF tools but try to keep my intended usage in mind when selecting.

I think that's a wise decision for a tool such as this.

I opted for the Makita 10" dual bevel sliding compound. LS1016L

I'm anticipating dust collection to be it's weak point, which I can live with.

Yeah I can't see going cheap on something like a compound slider saw. I still don't own one. Because I'm cheap and don't have an immediate use for one.

Well this morning I dropped off financial papers at a nursing home I have to put my mom into. What an ordeal all that crap is. Came home and worked in the yard until now. I cut grass, trimmed, scrubbed the patio furniture and patio. Moved firewood to the winter burn racks. Now I'm kicking back by the fire debating whether or not to jump in the pool!
