Me and @Scotty Overkill took down a nice size pin oak that was leaning pretty good towards the neighbors house. I climbed this one. There was also a double trunk cherry tree that one trunk was rotted out that Scotty climbed, sorry didn't get any pictures of that one. It ended up raining most of the day and we were soaked to the core.
Cut off the and lowered down the branches that I could off of the pin oak. We only cut off the branches that needed to be cut off so it would not get tangled up in the other trees. It wasn't a good idea to piece it out because they didn't want the other tree's to be damaged.
Then we choked it up high with the cable used my truck as the anchor point for the pulley and pulled it over whole across the driveway using Scotty's truck. And used the bottle jack method for extra insurance. We made sure to put some large billets on either side of the driveway so when the trunk fell it wouldn't crush the driveway.
This is the best picture that I could get of the lean.
A view from in the tree. The branch is tied off ready to be cut and lowered down.
You can just see my truck on the other side of the small pines. Which is the anchor point for the pulley to redirect the cable.
Scotty making the face cut just after he cut the pocket and inserted the bottle jack.
Fell perfect and didn't damage the driveway!
