It's still a clam shell design but unlike anything I've seen before?
Seems it's now possible to set the squish! the crank appears to sit in it's own cradle separate to the cylinder

I was never fan of the cheap Miller Thunderbolts but it is what it is. We had a few of these years ago in what shop I was teaching in. I prefer Lincoln for SMAW and Miller for GMAW.i grew up welding with the same machine!
