not totally sure yet. im selling my old one to the guy i work for. this one is too nice to be tossed around like his saws haha.
we both have 394/395s, those do fine with most of the big cuts we have to do. he just wants it cuz its more hugeA 3120 made me the most money in the shortest time of any saw I ever had. Back in about 2004 there was an add in the paper for a 16" drum chipper. I called the guy and we talked a bit. I asked him what he was running for a big saw. He said a 3120. I asked if he was interested in another and he said yes. Well when I met with him it was an odd situation. A department store had been allowing him to store his trucks and chippers in a unused portion of their parking lot. The store was going belly up and he had to get the equipment out. He did not have a location for all the equipment and the chipper was an older one he was not using, he just need to move it. I asked him how much he wanted and he said $1000. That was fair with me but of course being a trading type of guy I asked if he was interested in a trade on a 3120. He said yes. I got the 3120 out of the truck and we talked a bit. We settled on $300 in cash and the 3120. I only had $500 in the 3120 and at that time John Lambert was still selling NOS Stihl 088's for $1050 delivered so that saw was easy to replace if I chose to. They guy even delivered the chipper. I had it her all winter and used it a bit but it was just in the way. I ended up selling it to a guy in North Carolina for $3350. I had $500 in the saw, $300 in the chipper and got a $3350 out of the chipper.
That 3120 netted me $2550

Why do some people get all the fun?The flat files (Woody's) are specifically designed for depth gauges with no serrations on the edges. The 5/16" round files are particularly useful for the chains on some two man saws.
The Woodsman harvester bars will end up in the display for comic affect.
The bars include 3 - 34" and 5 - 20" roller nose "universal" mount that fit the older large frame McCulloch, Homelite, etc., 2 - 20" hardnose universal mount, 5 - 24" .050 D009 mount, 6 - 24" .058 D009 mount, 1 - 16" and 1 - 18" small mount Husqvarna.
Additionally there was about 90' of 3/8 .058 chisel chain (Oregon)
It is the reward of working all your life, retiring, and now having time to search the internet auctions and go pick stuff up.Why do some people get all the fun?
