If it's seaping out where the injector meets the head, the internal seals are bad. You would need to pull the injector apart to change that needed seal. My guess is it's not an O-ring, but a crush washer. An o-ring would never hold the pressure.

I've never had on of those injectors apart.

Thanks. I can get reman injectors for 50 bux each, I think that would be the smart way to go. Far as I know they have never been changed in 53 years.

I'm sure by now the pop off pressure is weak. Injectors like that are simple to work on. Basically all they are is a nozzle.

50 bucks a piece is cheap insurance though.

Earlier, it would be nice to know what pressure the injection pump offers after so many years and only then set the pressure in the injectors

I have a gas engine fuel pressure gauge, not sure if it would work for a diesel. This tractor still runs great, just don't like watching $4.00 a gallon fuel drip on the ground to say nothing about a fire hazard .

Leaks drive my crazy! My tractor leaks oil. But the only way to fix it is to pull the engine. It can keep on leaking for now. lol

You would need a gauge that could read thousands of psi. I'm not sure what injection pump the 165 has, but, they can be in the 7,000 to 15,000 psi range.

Renault 80-14, the left/circled red warning light - is that oil filter issue?
Does anyone know?
Not my tractor, asking for a neighbor - he just changed the engine oil and filter.

Well, not a tractor, nor mine - but I really like the look of this truck and finally took some pictures of it.
I think it looks cool and find it a shame it's rotting away like this.
How does neglect like this even happen?
This must have had some worth when it got abandoned, no?!
