It’s nice you can just cut the stock deflector off. Hog out the muffler and weld on a bigger deflector right in the original location and still use the screen if needed.

Stihl MS462 with half of a medium stainless steel @Red97 spot welded on and half of a Husqvarna screen with stainless hardware.
Only a slot in the back opened up, so as to be fully diverted for ease on the operator's ears.

That is nice work! Wapping the front half off a 'red' had not occurred to me. Great idea saved in my noggin!

Just fabbed up a quick little exhaust for my Echo 355t. I am a carpenter full time not a welder. So I'm sure to you with lots of practice it looks like dog crap. But I'm pretty happy with my first attempt.
