I have a bunch of small pistol magnum primers and only one gun that uses them. Im going to see how well they work in light .223 loads.

Be careful with that.

I should add, I'm talking about .22 Hornet level loads that SPM primers will handle no problem. Definitely not 5.56 NATO or anything like that.

I was looking at the local listings today on Armslist. I wanted to get an idea of what people were trying to get for ammo and reloading components.
I was amazed.
Ammo was all over the place, from only moderately inflated to insane.
Primers were the shocker. There were several listings for LP primers priced at $200/1,000. There weren't any primers listed for less than $100/1,000.
I think a guy would have to be pretty desperate to pay $200/1,000 for primers.

Literally drums of p mags at my local shops
And there's a guy that bought thousands of the red jacket ak mags
Before that pos was arrested and jailed
He bought them during the last panic
And couldn't get rid of them
Since.

I would buy more mags right now, however the ones I like are the 20 round metal M16A1 style and nobody carries those in person. Have to order them. I already have a bunch of poly 30's that I use on the range.

He needs to just sit on them as an investment. Somebody will want them someday, regardless of what name is on them.

I don't understand the AR mag glut either.
Seems everyone has them on sale right now.
I guess everyone bought a bunch after the last drought.

If they went on sale for practically nothing I would buy a bunch. Who knows, could be a good investment or at least I would have enough for the rest of my life.

If any body finds some small or large rifle primers I could use 1-2k of each. I’m not paying gunbroker prices to have enough to load the rest of my stash but I’ll pay more than pre gouge prices
I'll ask my source he got me 1000 spp
I don't reload rifle's much anymore.

I’m not doing anything right now. I’m moving out of my house finally. I hope to get a farm this spring and build a shop

I got a call earlier today from a guy I barely know. He said that he was told by a mutual friend that I reloaded and wanted to know if I could reload some 6.5 Grendel for him? He had a set of dies and 200 empty cases. I wasn't going to do it but was curious about what components he had.
I asked about primers, powder and bullets and was told that he assumed I had all of that but he would be willing to pay me a couple bucks a box to reload for him.
I explained that I don't reload for other people because of liability issues. I also explained about the shortages of pretty much everything related to reloading.
He then asked, if he found components, could he borrow a press and the other equipment he needed to load the cases himself?
It would be just my luck that he'd load some up, then blow his ass up before
I got my press back and I'd have to fight with his widow to get it returned.
I told him no.
