Real rookie to all this video *s-word,just trying one out.
Oem definitely sound more throaty...compared to the tinny sound of the am cylinder. Did you try the am without any work? Curious what kind of a difference you have madeI opened the chamber on the bb hybrid and got compression down to 205lb,it helped but still needs less.
The oem hybrid is a good bit ahead still
No I didn't try it stock.Oem definitely sound more throaty...compared to the tinny sound of the am cylinder. Did you try the am without any work? Curious what kind of a difference you have made
I'll be watchingNo I didn't try it stock.
It doesn't run bad it just doesn't run like the oem saw.
I'll get compression down to where the oem saw is and try the exhaust and transfers at the same height and see how it does then.
The oem saw is bout 180-185 but I was trying to get 190.So you want the bb saw around 175? Is that due to the sump volume on the 044. A ported 460 you run around 200

Yep.I am trying to keep this straight in my head
Both are an MS440 base saw right?
OEM is a Stihl 046/MS460 cylinder and the AMBB is an 046/MS460 BB at 54mm?
That's gonna be difficult,hell I can't make it run with a 044 hybrid much less a 066. LolMS440 double big bore
Make that puppy run like an 066 with the weight of the 044, that would be sooooo sweet!!
Looks pretty darned good!!Here's a 44mm open port 350. It still needs a second port added to the muffler when I get a small deflector.
