They are one helluva saw, no doubt. Torque for daysCall that thang the Honey Badger, cuz it dont give a fuh...
Idk. Lower exhaust than most 80cc saws probably. I believe the snappiness is due to the injector being mounted within an inch of the pistonWhere are they finding the torque? All in the fuel injection? Or something different inside the jug?
Kevin, Fine work right there. I believe you found a lil' sumptin' she likesThey are one helluva saw, no doubt. Torque for days
Just buy lots of Alfa Dan's raffle ticketsThat thing just rips!!! Really makes me want one!!
462 makes more peak torque than a 572, also.According to KWF testing in germany (a independent test facility) the 500 makes the same 5.4nm torque as the old ms460 interestingly. But... it most likely makes more torque higher up in the rpm range which makes it feel more impressive. I can attest to that, it blows away a ms460 from the little bit I’ve ran one.
I agree with you, the peak number just sells saws on paper really. We don’t cut wood with a piece of paper...462 makes more peak torque than a 572, also.
It's not peak torque I'm talking about. It has a very flat torque curve across a wide rpm range.
Ideally, with the chain perfectly tuned to the size of the wood, the 462 would always win over the 572. But real world cutting isn't like that.I agree with you, the peak number just sells saws on paper really. We don’t cut wood with a piece of paper...
Very nicely done Kev
Its all in the oil!.Where are they finding the torque? All in the fuel injection? Or something different inside the jug?
Yeah that. They run better with 40:1 or leaner
Nothing wrong with using oil made for chainsaws right?... I do it too. Lol
