I would do the rakers and leave the 7 pin on a 70 cc saw. I like to avoid pinches as much as possible.
Yeah I ended up going to Bobs place because I needed some parts for my 385 in the vid like an air filter. You'd think they'd carry at least spare air filters at the dealers around here in ct but I called around and ZERO of them had anything lol. Pretty unbelievable and they wanted me to drive 30 min to the place to pay for the damn filter waste my gas and charge me 30$ for the filter not including tax. I called up Bob and he said he has a bunch of them. I decided why not ride up and check out Bob's shop and I needed the parts for the saw, and a nice road trip into mountains in upstate NY? Bob was a awesome dude and his knowledge of saws is unbelievable. He charged 18 bucks a piece for two filters, pretty much what I'd pay for one filter. Great deal. He gave me a cool husky hat and we were talking and he said come to my back shop and gave me a few builder 350's and a 51 special that needed a little work. Awesome projects, should keep me busy rest of winter. Bob has a customer for lifeHey @huskyboy I heard you made a visit to @Spike60 Bob's shop Ashokan Turf and Timber.
Just got off the phone with Bob to get some parts paid for for the 51 project.
Did you need some parts for that 372 a few posts back on this thread?
Someday I want to visit Bob's shop too -- he's definitely not the "normal" husky dealer in a good way!
If I can free up my weekend I'd like to try and get to Dan's @paragonbuilder when you guys get together so we can try assembling the 51 that I have the 55 OEM cylinder / piston for (case is split and new bearings, seals, gasket set, lines the works). The new cylinder looks sweet and itching to try it out, also did an intake mod with heli coils so the carb can be torqued down well and not strip the plastic. 50/51/55 intakes are funky IMHO compared to typical carb and boot setups on others.
If I make it down to Dan's I'll bring some saws to play with too.
Your 372 looks great in the video above. Nice work!

I can't wait to get back up there and visit again! My oldest daughter moved from Pittsburgh to Lake Katrine NY. Found out she is about 20 minutes from Bob's shop. Next time I visit her I'm going to keep a couple hour block of time to go and hang out at the shop. When I was there I was amazed at what he had in Stock. Bought a bunch of parts for my 272xp project. Also picked up a Stihl bar that looked out of place hanging on his wall. He did give me a couple things just for stopping in but I'm not supposed to share what it was! Really wanted to take a 2260 home with me!Yeah I ended up going to Bobs place because I needed some parts for my 385 in the vid like an air filter. I ran one of Canadian farm boy's hybrids at Ct Gtg and that was an impressive saw.
