I didn't watch the video I'm just speaking from experience.
The tune reference was a general one and not directed at you.

I didn't catch the 440 video either but I will catch up in a little bit
I hear you. Just wanting professional feedback. Lol
Always looking for help and feedback on the tune.
*s-word, I really need a tach for Christmas here. Lol

Filed by you still isn't the same chain.
Cutter length and raker height make as much difference in cut speed as how well it's sharpened.
If both are tuned the same rpm instead of both for maximum power then anything can happen.
If the ported one makes its power over 15k but is tuned to 13.5k then it won't be much ahead of a stock one.

Nobody noticed in my video that I did not have my chaps on. (Couldn't wait to get to the job to use my saw fast enough, and in my frenzy I forgot chaps at my house.)
And I worked all day with my sweatshirt on backwards. Lol
WTF, I should have realized I was getting choked. Lol

In reading all of this I realize we need to get working dyno again. If the resolution works well on the new one all of these variables such as bar, chain, operator technique go bye bye...

Then just muck with tune and fuel! Try different carbs and filters... Man I gotta get off my arse. Too many other things but I will make a pledge to try and get together with Bill and get something going before the winter is up so we can try real tests by spring.

Cool. Thanks Eric. Enjoy the Holidays first, and foremost. Then hit it hard over the winter. Let me know when you guys get together, and I will meet up with both of you. Thank you both for all your hard work and effort in getting the dyno fired up.

Heck that is just the beginning !!!!
Knowing when a saw is made more powerful is great and useful but then the artistry begins :)
After the dyno tells you which version of a saw is strongest the work of matching the perfect chain begins

Will do. Where are you running your 026s today? Wondering how far away you are :)

I ran both at the gtg Jeff, and they weren't even remotely close. So something is amiss here dot dot dot
I'm kicking myself for not running these. I only ran Jeff's 440. Too much 70 and 90 cc that day... I even brought a nice 346. Always a huge plan of attack for GTGs stuff to try... Then things like that 14 foot cant gets used for parking my arse instead of some friendly racing...

Right near URI. I am going to have to cut my cuts. Make cookies. 10 large trees all cut down and to length. Either cookies or noodle the wood. Lol
We'll hook up another time. Plus its football day!

Like the video shows, you may have a super fast saw, but if your not up on the rest, it was a waste of money...

No offense Jeff, I'm just as guilty! Lol

Nope. Its all good learning. Fact of the matter is this saw is awesome! It runs perfect and I love it. It has performed flawlessly.
As already mentioned, probably user error more than anything else.
Could be that the used stock 026 I bought had some work done to it that I didn't know about. Lol. I bought it older guy who babied it. Lol
