Fear not ya'll, I just don't want to find out that Mustang's legs look like Randy's under the canvas:-/

After bucking up some wind damage, A nail presented itself. It was one inch from the cut.

I second the helmet when felling. Mine had a dent and didn't have time to get another... Felled a hemlock under a 100' white pine full of dead crap in the canopy from woods being turned into house lot and the hemlock brought down unseen big chunks one hit 10 feet from me that if it my head it would have sucked real bad. Even running out from canopy towards clear area after she started to go over was not quick enough. In the woods not doing a yard tree helmet is a must. Yard trees are what we mostly tackle and a lot less risk since they tend to be clean and no widow makes buildup in the canopy. You can usually see easily anything that will be a problem in a yard tree. Then of course there is whatever nails and other metal objects homeowners bang into the tree over the years the tree engulfs... Rock your chain.

Looks like you've got too many teef, 6" in the wood.
Next year at your gtg, I'd like to give you a hand with 24-28" of RSC!

Well. I just got done cutting 6 trees down for a friend. This was the biggest one. About 22" diameter Oak. I cut it with my JMSSAWS Stihl MS440. I am running a 20" bar with 3/8" Carlton Full Comp. I just got done sharpening the chain with the Pferd 2 in 1 sharpener. I personally think it takes the rakers down a little too much as evidenced by the chain jamming up. I am not sold on this 2 in 1 sharpener just yet. It was 36 degrees out. I am using VP 94 octane SEF with Motul 800 at about 40:1. The saw still runs and cuts really well. Enjoy.

Here is my MOFO Stihl 026 running a 16" bar with .325 Carlton Full Comp chain. This is the same oak tree, just a little further up the tree. About 16" diameter tree.
I am using VP 94 octane SEF with Motul 800 at about 40:1. I think the tune is still a little fat. But I always err on the side of caution. 36 degrees outside.

Ought to cut a 36 inch DBH red oak with 3 strands of barbed wire in it to chest height. Happens quite often when logging. Keeps your skill up to par.

Look at the loop hanging down under my chin. I use the plugs and wear the wire in front. I always, always wear plugs. In ear plugs, not muffs

Lol. I have no tach. Not sure. Does it sound lean or rich? Too high or too low?
