Here For The Long Haul!
This is a piece of Red Ironbark would be well over 6 years air dry most of our hardwoods are very dense and sink like a rock.Theres a smaller tree called Ironwood over here thats so dense it doesn't float, but I don't think anyone ever needs to cut it.
Does American Oak sink or float? I would of thought it would sink being a hardwood.
Our softwoods like Silky Oak/Red Cedar/ Hoop Pine/ Cypress Pine I'd say would float I have all of the above will give it a try for science and stuffs lol
