When I lift the lid on the toolbox in my firewood truck and smell the aroma of spilled fuel and bar oil it puts a smile on my face. does that mean i have a problem?

I sniff the ported exhaust…. Just before I start yanking it.. it drives me insane and I yank it harder … till it pops and my Goes squinty

I have a 1972 Arctic Cat Panther snowmobile that I built totally from spare parts. I currently run 40:1 "racing" oil in it. I have been tempted to mix up a batch of the original 20:1 oil just like we used to back in the day. Something about dumping a whole quart of oil into a 5 gallon can of gas just brings back fond memories.
Am I a bad person?

I couldn't smell a thing.
Maybe I should mix up that batch of 20:1 so I can figure out what she is talking about.

When reviving really old saws, especially the ones haven’t fired up in more than a decade. The first 10 seconds of exhaust burning off the old staled residue oil scent make me feel blissful.

Ya but do you run the worst oil you can run in a chainsaw because you like the smell ?

Yeah, one good whiff of my saws tends to make me forget what I initially intended to do that day.

Used saw purchases and other peoples saws smell funny!
Anyone else think so too?
