Here is a video starting it this morning. I didn't even want to idle today. But you can hear it when I hit the throttle bogging.
Fuel pressure gauge does regulate. I guess that button is just to purge before removing it. It's inly reading between 52-58 this morning... So maybe it is the pump? I'm still gonna pull the plugs and see.

Does it still throw any codes? If not, I doubt any problems computer related. Keep in mind, when they throw a code, it doesn't mean that a specific part is bad, i.e. oxygen sensor. It means there is a problem in a particular circuit that operates/reads a particular sensor. It does sound like a fuel delivery problem. 60 psi is plenty. Volume of fuel being delivered could be a problem. I would run a fuel volume test. It should deliver a specified amount of fuel in a specific time span.

My family builds chevys and we've replaced a mountain of fuel pumps and in are experience they either work or they don't.

I've heard of them not making enough pressure but we ain't never seen it.

I know the intake manifold gaskets are issues on these... How do I test for it?
Does it have the symptoms I'm describing?

Leaky intake manifold would not cause this problem , it would be a more stall at idle issue . When you have problems finding a leak generally spraying WD40 along the gasket mating surface will make the engine rev up when it draws it in . Good for finding leaky vacuum hoses and the like too but again , that isn't your problem .

Google might be your friend on this one too if you type in the problem you're having it may bring up some solid ideas .
Been a long time since I've pulled wrenches so i'm a bit rusty on some of the more modern car issues :D

I've googled the hell out of it. Lol
Now this morning it doesn't want to stay running. This is new. It would idle forever. Fuel pressure is under 60 now. Weird thing is when I hit the accelerator pressure goes up a couple psi??? Is that normal?
This doesn't seem like excessive Distributer gear play to me, what do you think?

I think you may have the strainer on the fuel pickup clogging and starving for gas.
The fuel pump has a strainer like sock where it picks up fuel. You said it is low on fuel so all the *s-word in the tank can accumulate around the strainer. Pull the fuel pump and check.

plug is not oil fouled it is carboned up id still say the pump is bad and you have oxygen sensors bad i talked to a gm mechanic a few years ago and he said the fuel pressure has to be over 75 when new the pump should be in the 90s the spider type fuel injection is the high performance one

Plug looks like that because it can only idle.

Most chevy forums are saying tps or coolant temp sensor

Just did TPS, but maybe I got a bad one. It would make sense, no signal to add fuel when opening throttle ...
I'll pick up another. And cap and rotor.
Coolant temp or intake air temp sensor Jason?
