I think it's a airleak or a sensor
Let It idle and start spraying wd-40 looking for a vacuum leak
I know the intake manifold gaskets are issues on these... How do I test for it?
Does it have the symptoms I'm describing?
Can you feel exhaust coming out of the tailpipe?
Leaky intake manifold would not cause this problem , it would be a more stall at idle issue . When you have problems finding a leak generally spraying WD40 along the gasket mating surface will make the engine rev up when it draws it in . Good for finding leaky vacuum hoses and the like too but again , that isn't your problem .
Google might be your friend on this one too if you type in the problem you're having it may bring up some solid ideas .
Been a long time since I've pulled wrenches so i'm a bit rusty on some of the more modern car issues![]()
The fuel pump has a strainer like sock where it picks up fuel. You said it is low on fuel so all the *s-word in the tank can accumulate around the strainer. Pull the fuel pump and check.I think you may have the strainer on the fuel pickup clogging and starving for gas.
Plug looks like that because it can only idle.
Most chevy forums are saying tps or coolant temp sensor
Coolant temp sensorJust did TPS, but maybe I got a bad one. It would make sense, no signal to add fuel when opening throttle ...
I'll pick up another. And cap and rotor.
Coolant temp or intake air temp sensor Jason?
