Did the muffler bracket a few minutes ago, I made it out of the same thin aluminum sheet that I made the cylinder spacer out of so it might not hold up but if it don't, I'll have a template I can use for to make one out of steel.

I got a little farther along this afternoon, I cut the base and now the squish is .022. I also leveled out the transfers, evened them up side to side and put a larger bevel on the exhaust. Now I just need to go around the ports with some sandpaper and it should be ready to put back together. The numbers taken with a ring are now,

EX 100
TR 116
IN 80

Cylinder is on and I only used one ring, check out how far the top ring comes down past the top of the intake. I used a lot more sealer than I normally do to give me time to get the plate where I wanted and the cylinder on before it skimmed over.

Just a pic of where the muffler was touching the case, after the 034 spacer, gasket and heat shield. It probable would have cleared the case with just the thick gasket and heat shield.

Very Nice!
It is rather difficult to get a center ring pin to work well in these builds.

I opened up the carb venturi from 15.03 to 16.05 and initially I had planed on leaving the echo jet in that had been closed with JB Weld but since I had to take it out and had a 199 jet I went ahead and swapped them.

It's been on there a few months but I haven't used the saw much.

I started getting it back together using a 440 carb boot, then I hit a snag, the spark plug just touches the car box and the plug hole in the front cover needed opened up.

I went ahead and thinned the shafts on the carb this morning, maybe it will help.

For whatever it's worth, I once asked a buddy who builds competition saws about carb mods like that, he said for non-competition applications they aren't worth the trouble. If you're racing a guy and need that 1/10 of a second to win they're worth it, but in day to day use nobody's gonna notice.

I figured I'd give it a try.

The different "jet" feed size prolly messed up the tune a bit. Hope it plays nice. These builds like all the carb// mods they can get.

@Red97 I didn't do a timing advance on this one, did you advance the timing on the ones you've done?
