Nice to meet you, friend, our Saw Chain are also very popular in UK, good market !![]()
I believe the jig lays on the bar at a 25-30° angle and your file rides across the top of the rollers3/8" Low Profile and .325 standard kerf Husqvarna gauges. The correct file is a snug fit in the holes in the gauge. I'm never certain that I'm using the 3/8" LP raker gauge corectly. The .325 narrow kerf gauge won't fit over a standard .325" chain.View attachment 267960
That was not clear on some of the earlier models, and why I had to mark mine clearly. The .325 narrow kerf gauge won't fit over a standard .325" chain.
This method/technique really works well in my experience.I'm never certain that I'm using the 3/8" LP raker gauge corectly. The .325 narrow kerf gauge won't fit over a standard .325" chain.View attachment 267960

Do you sell 3/8 .50 84dl and 91dl full chisel chain?
If so where in the us can it be bought.

Can you take a picture of it. Would be nice to see a original.I'm still using the fist roller guide I got back around 1983. I think at that time they were sold by Pferd and later came under the Electrolux/Husqvarna banner. My original has hardened steel rollers. It's a little hard on files in truth, but you learn not to bear down on the roller too much.
Maybe a wrap or 2 of electrical tape, as a consumable item, to pad the rollers? My original has hardened steel rollers. It's a little hard on files in truth, but you learn not to bear down on the roller too much.
I'll try to remember to do so. The old ones look just like the new ones minus the rubber rollers and depth gauge doohicky. Just black, hardened steel rollers on a blue frame. Might have been Sandvik that had them back then and no Pferd. Have to take a peek. Can you take a picture of it. Would be nice to see a original.
Very cool - I did not know the history of these, or how long they have been around. From 1989
