She's dickered now.

wished I had had more stuff to add, for some odd resons I don't get in any 254's even there was sold tons of them.
Forgot to add oem screws, they have a coned head.

Going to have to order up some of those bolts, ones I had went into the cranckshaft lobe and locked the motor.

what part number do the screws for metal sleeve has, and what is the part number for the screws to the plastic sleeve Steve?

501 49 76-01 for metal sleeve. Oddly this is the only one shown on the IPL's at the parts place, right up to the most current. Like the plastic one never existed. They are 4mm with a 5 mm sized head.

its typhical Husky, their IPL's always lack parts. Their screws are the same as used on 44 also.
I dont even know how those plastic sleeve screws look.

If we dont can get them screws in US we has to ship over some from Norway.

The plastic bearing covers are notorious for warping! Just rebuilt 2 and both were warped. The plasic ones use the allen head screws and the metal one uses slot head countersunk.

You can trust me when I say that it really sucked having to admit that I made a mistake. Surely we've seen enough of what trying to cover them up looks like later.

We all make mistakes. Admitting that is the tough part.

Read the thread.....might have those screws.

Looks like I better wait to find some screws then.

It was tough, but sure got a lot easier after that, instead of increasingly worse and worse.

Let me know please.

I'll try and get a picture for you in a bit.

Excellent thread Steve!

Just trying to show folks what they are gonna get if they pick one of these two saws for a prize.
