So even though I pulled the muffler and took a look there and through the intake and piston and rings looked good I could still feel something rolling the engine over.

So a pile of new replacement parts were ordered. The cylinder wasn't too bad and cleaned up both easy and we'll. (Thanks again @Glock37 for the cleaner upper tool)

A Scotch Brite type swirly gig. Worked good for the final clean up.

254 muffkin all modded up.

Cut out the baffle added a port with a @Red97 medium deflector. Placed a cut down 288 screen underneath, so as to be a real work saw for any terrain.

Special delivery all the way from Norway arrived today, these are the very special parts from our buddy @Tor R sent for the build.


Did notice that it takes a screw with the smaller sized head, just happened to have some. Thought I would pass this on to folks wanting to do this conversion.
Also a little loctite here doesn't hurt either.

wished I had had more stuff to add, for some odd resons I don't get in any 254's even there was sold tons of them.
Forgot to add oem screws, they have a coned head.

Matched the muffler, gasket and heat shield to the port.

While not necessary, I like to use a ring spreader, just easier for me.
Using a Meteor piston PC2293AB and Caber ring.

Some red assembly lube on the OEM wrist pin bearing.
Good enough for that...

A Stihl T27 scrench works great for pushing the wrist pin the last little bit.

Coated piston and cylinder in more red goo. Then with a ring compressor drop the cylinder on.
