I am in need of a flywheel cover and starter for a Super 754. Lots of non Remington stuff as trading stock or plain old cash...

The darn carb was so varnished that everything was clogged and stuck. Soaked it in gas for a few days. It helped some but not near what was needed. I will try an AM 070/090 carb for now. If it doesn't work I will get the old carb to my friends sonic cleaner and rebuild.

I got the $13 aftermarket 070/090 to work!

Good job. [emoji108]

I liked how my Clinton turned out with the 070/090 carb I bought an extra.

It may end up on the Super 990. [emoji1696]

Little trick that I did with the choke level. 1st the level was easy free to drop close. 2nd the screws were a tad long the holds the air filter housing in place and would bottom out on the choke shaft. Used a small lock washer on the head of the screw to prevent bottoming out. Then, cut a real small piece of fuel line, 2 mm x 2 mm only one wall thickness and placed it in the thread socket up against the shaft. Now there's a soft tension when tightened down on the choke shaft so does not flip around.

Hi guys,I got another SL9 in the mail today. The seller must've gotten the recoils mixed up with another model like a Mighty Mite. The recoil he sent me is WAY too small.Does anyone out there have a complete recoil assembly that they'd be willing to sell?It doesn't need to have the switch, that's still on the saw except for the plate & nut.

I've got 2 SL9A's & the auto oilers don't work on either saw.I need to know if the saw must be running in order for the manual oiler to work.

Hi gang, haven't been here in a while, but been working on those Remingtons! I picked up this "Agway special" last week & it was in rough shape - no spark to start with.I pulled the points out & found they were burnt pretty bad.I cleaned them up with emery cloth & put them back in along with a known good condenser.I then had spark again,so it was on to the carburetion.I think I must've primed it at least 15 times before it finally started running on it's own.Today I put an 18 bar & chain on it instead of the puny little 16 in.that came with it.I wanted to put a 20 in.on it,but the bar studs were 3/8 & the bar slot was 5/16.

Take a file after the bar slot. Done some that way; works great if the oil holes will work

Hey fellas. Thought Id share this little project.
Three to make one or two. Best parts of all three are on the one in the video. Its a mix of bantam and deluxe parts. I'll paint it later.

Does anyone have a good coil for a mighty might bantam they would sell?
