Great thread start, I would love to see some 880 or 990 pictures.

The Remington saws show up very infrequently around here. Stumbled onto this one though. It starts/idles and throttles well. Haven't had it out in the bush yet. Thinking I might need to deal with some tired clutch springs. And, some spent friction washers in the FM.

I feel sorry for my neighbours. The sound is almost enough to cut wood.

I only have one running Remington. I had two SL-9's given to me. One with a roached P&C and the other in good shape. Both have the stack or "zippo" tube on the exhaust port. I fired the running one up after a points clean up , carb kit and fuel line and filter. I did in the garage to pre tune it. That was enough. My ears were ringing for an hour.
It might make an appearance at Halloween.

In need of a starter cup for Remmy PL7. My insert is loose and spinning.
A part number would help to locate one if anyone can help.

TIA

Check Chainsawr.com for the IPL and the starter cup?

Insert???? I don't see an insert.

Cup + Screen......64163
Cup itself.......64162

Its entirely possible that someone used an 051 type Stihl cup for repair. Stihl used Fairbanks Morse starters back in the olden days.
