sorry, minor editing... sucky vid on my cell phone hanging from the ceiling. I hope Sean doesn't feel too bad about this.... but it was really easy to do with just a round carbide and a big flat blade.

Very nice editing, concise!

The spot welds on an OEM muffler are a whole lot better and you'll be grinding on them for a while longer, but it's still better than a cut off wheel.

u got that dimension on the 440 pto bearing?

also, if you got a crank, I need to know the length of the "landing" ....where the bearing sits. if the bearing is 9mm thick, is the landing...longer? on the am crank, its around 9.4mm .... which means a 10mm thick bearing inner race would stick up, vs a 9mm which would sit low...

As near as I can tell.....

The inner race is .350" thick. Overall thickness is .511" outer diameter is 1.377" inner diameter is .590"

I still like just drilling a 1/2" hole in the bottom part of the baffle then opening it up a bit with a grinder. Keeps the muffler strong, and seems to work just fine.

The muffler I gutted for this 064 is spot welded, and brazed on the ends. Like Scott said....this one ain't a couple minute sorta job.

and yes, I imagine the oem's are made a bit different.

but if this is all it takes to mod these hyways, seems like a nice option. instead of quick and dirty, its just quick and it seems to be quite clean

OH, another good tip... use a magnet to pull shavings out of the muff .... preferably before you install it on the saw

this slides onto a landing on the crank...is it 9mm also? 10? 9.5?
