Guess I was hasty on the squish, hits without gasket.
Has that typical little step on the outside edge of the band, that's gonna get gone...

IMG_0272.JPG That's better...

Having bad luck with bevels lately.
Exhaust roof bevel looks backwards, might as well not have even bothered doing it. I guess the ports small enough not to matter much...

I'm very excited to see how this is gonna turn out! Can I assume that you are gonna show us stock hp ratings vs ported?

Too late for that, modded it a bit before I ran it.
Dyno project is being held up by logistics for a while...

When I go back into it I'll snap a pic.
Looks a lot like the newer 7900 pistons.
Here are a few pics of the 5105 top end for comparison. Made by ..Mahle and piston has "A" on it

So I was thinking that most of the Dolmar's came with pretty high compression already... Where was the 5105 at before squish cut. Seems like 0.060-0.065 is pretty loose and would have lower compression to begin with. Seems like the 6100 comes stock at 185 psi+, 6400/6401 about the same...

Yea that's why i'm asking what compression was before the squish cut. If it was already 180+ and you cut the squish... Is it going to be 200-220???

Man these are sweet saws.first Dolmar for me.only thing I don't like is the Chinese Oregon bar.I'm sure it's a good bar but why do that to a high scale saw?
