I found an old thread that said they are 5105's. I have a feeling makita is cutting them off and they need to liquidate the existing ones.

maruyama is good stuff period though i thought they quit selling in the US.

A big box store up here was clearing Maruyama a month or so ago , got a straight shaft string trimmer , small 31cc chainsaw and hedge trimmer all at 50-70% off the original prices .

Only used the string trimmer so far and was really impressed with the build , weight and how nice it ran . They all have an Echo vibe to them but are different and come with 5 year warranty but not sure if that will help me much as there are no servicing dealers up here that I know of , only shows some in the USA .

They did not have any of the Dolmar 5105 saws nor had they carried them .

I pulled the trigger on one, might be here today. Only my second brandy-new saw ever, last one was almost 20 years ago and also an on-sale impulse buy.
Been wanting to play with a 5105 for a long time, never seem to find cheap fixer uppers.
Usually patience wins out... Hope this isn't a trend...
