Lol I have a 026 that needs fixing on my bench right now. Stihls aren’t bulletproof.Don't know. All mine are rubber mount. No issues at all for me.
Only spring mount saw I have right now is a Dam Hooskie 345 that needs fixin. LMAO
Love the action shots, and that is an interesting tool holder! Is there any vibration in your lathe when spinning those cylinders?

Can put a 372 or 029 intake clamp on it. Easy cheap fix. Just cut off the plastic snap that sticks up and leave the rest on. New clamp on and fixed. Use moto seal or some other good sealant for cylinder base. Won’t take much longer than a hour of your time.I won't use a saw that I know may have an issue. I'd rather fix the clamp first then run it. Lol
Just bad JuJu.

[emoji106] Just have to navigate through the Hooskie maze. Pull a jug to change a clamp! WTF
If I had a Stihl that MAY have an issue, I wouldn't run it. But this plastic tie wrap issue takes the cake for me. Even Matty says in his video, don't run them til it's fixt. LOLI can come up with a dozen things that “may” be an issue on your saws too. Don’t run them till I get back to you with a list. It’s bad JuJu...[emoji23]
