Very cool to see the lathe action shots. Need more snow Dan so you can get trapped in your shop again.

@malk315 you can substitute maple syrup in place of any sweetener. I know there is a ratio for sugar - maple syrup. Now back to saws!

Sure. I don’t see why not. I tried to use it for my cross slide Orientation in that pic, because I was having trouble mounting a dial indicator with what I have. But it doesn’t have enough travel. So I had to rework things a little.

There should be some other tail stocks to use instead of the drill if you want sharp point or blunt point

I’m not sure how to answer this, as I am not a machinist. The outside of the chuck measures 7”.

Chores came first, and my tailstock needed adjustment, so it took me a while, but finally my 262 mandrel is done.

Now I need to determine how much to take off the base. That will hopefully be tomorrow morning.
