A good expression I’ve heard is “to beat a dead horse”. Every one is entitled to there own opinion.

Tool holder?
Maybe a little vibration, but not bad.

The boring bar holder on your tool post - it looks unique like it's a one-off. Anyway, I was mainly curious about the vibrations and how bad they get.

Perhaps, @mdavlee may know. I got this lathe from him.
Wasn’t bad at all.

Have a bar that will be on the way... shop nearby will have it Friday. I'll be picking it up later, after the saw gets here. Will buy a chain then too.

Was going to get a Husky branded one, but they want a lot of money for those at the dealer... So off to the bar and chain shop and they can get the Oregon branded equivalent at just over half the cost.

I go to this guy for chain sharpening, lawn mower blade sharpening, bars and chains when I need a new one...

Terry made it. It will hold 3/8" and 1/2" indexable tools as well. There's an actual boring bar holder in there somewhere that came with the set. I just never changed it out since I cut squish by hand.

I've been working on stock piling some logs for the last couple weeks in between other duties. Mostly I've been running 70cc saws for felling and ported 50cc saws for limbing and bucking to length. Once syrup season starts and I'll be in the sugar bush I'll start bucking and splitting wood to replace what we burn. I'm thinking this 262 with a 20" 3/8 bar is gonna be a real nice fit for that job. :)

Leave it to Jeff to start 2 pages of hooskie jokes. :borra2:.

Builds are coming along nice Dan. My 262 has a KS cylinder, looking forward to building it once I get done with my friends 371. Really curious to see if I have one of the short blow down cylinders.

I'm going to make a new thread, but I need to get a head count on who is interested in washers and how many.
No idea on price point yet. Material will likely be hardened 8620.
I am interested in the washers, but price will determine how many. Thanks for making the effort!

Wanna bring her by to play with my wood Fred?
