Saw a guy on the other forum draft a 272xp cylinder on a 3700 Poulan IIRC.
Milled a carb adapter.
It was slick, I think I deleted the pics tho.

Ordered a VERY cheap piston from one of the site sponsors.

Looks good but she's a real head slapper, piston was into the cylinder quite a bit! About 6mm.
As I say it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission .
I started measuring stuff now.

I did two Craftesman 3.0s and put $15 Farmertec MS360 cylinders on them that I got off Amazon with different timing numbers. to get themo fit I moved the cylinder bolt holes to match up with the case. I also drilled out the case bolt hole and put 5mm inserts in them, I think the Poulan bolts are SAE, not sure what size but they are around 6mm, and I wanted to take as little as I could off the cylinder bolt holes. I also opened up the case a little for the bigger piston and filled the openings for the lower transfers with JB Weld..

For an intake boot I used a 372 boot turned upside down. The hole in the tank that the boot goes through had to be opened up some for it to fit.

The Poula HDA carb is tiny so I used an OEM Echo 590 carb on the first one and ordered an AM 590 carb from China. The fixed jet in the OEM one would make the saw to rich so I replaced the jet, The AM one didn't have a fixed jet. To get the throttle and choke working I used the rods out of the Poulan card with the disk that came with the 590 carbs.
