I honestly can't say. The only 266se I've had came to me as a mixed up bunch of parts from several saws in a cardboard box. I think the se might have been open port? I'm not sure, I might be thinking of 268.I would do seals and o-rings due age.
Chris know more about if there was other difference then just the 163 vs 224.
I think the 224 has a larger venturi opening. Niko cam tell us for sureI honestly can't say. The only 266se I've had came to me as a mixed up bunch of parts from several saws in a cardboard box. I think the se might have been open port? I'm not sure, I might be thinking of 268.
266 doesn't seem to be very common around here, I've only seen a few
I have the same version as you have even it's a couple year olderI honestly can't say. The only 266se I've had came to me as a mixed up bunch of parts from several saws in a cardboard box. I think the se might have been open port? I'm not sure, I might be thinking of 268.

I dont know if intake where different on SE vs XP, not sure if it's just to put an 224 on and have XP power....
266 is super rare in Norway when I'm finished with mine it's gone be a keeper
DSS..Se and XP should be both closed port ..Tor ..224 carbed XP's have a different intake mounting so you need to swap out the old shape one on the SE carb to put the 224 on a SE. That seems to be the main change from SE to XP.I honestly can't say. The only 266se I've had came to me as a mixed up bunch of parts from several saws in a cardboard box. It is a very nice saw Mike266xpg is the only 2 series I have left. Be the only one I keep as well. Just a great runner as is with heated handles for winter use. Probably time to drain the fuel out and put trufuel in it for summer. Probably won't be out again til cold weather.

0 merican is a cold day for us down there. I don't usually go cut when it's that cold but sometimes there's something that needs cutting for my grandpa's farm.Heated handles? TN? COLD weather?
Ok.
Yes Sir we looked it over it,s a dang good looking saw. We were talking about the heated handles at the time it was the first one I had ever saw.You did see it that day didn't you? I need to mod the muffler and maybe see about porting it
