I had two 266xp saws that were given to me by my late father in law. I loved both! They were heavy, maid my hands numb after a few tanks of fuel but had great power and I loved that I could buck faster that my dad with his new stihls. They never let me down even after leaving e10 fuel in them over the winter. Sadly they both were stolen last year from my tool shed, while my wife was likely home. I hope the thefts needed food to feed their kids, if not, i hope they get penis rot and get butt worms that have a big appetite

I finally got to run a 262XP after I got this one from a good friend!

I’m just happy to have TWO 262’s with the KS/87 combo.

My gut says the recoil was swapped but I’ll never know for sure.

Look for the Casting Date on the Inside of the Starter housing, and see if it's Much later than the Manufacturer Date on the ID Tag...
