Just to be clear...something along the lines of: "I'd like to see Hillary spontaneously combust and then be put out by means of an aging 50 ton Russian satellite falling out of orbit and landing on her." would be off limits?

J/K....but not really.
:demon7: :dancer2:

Such a shame that the butthurt is so strong on forums nowadays. Good on you for keeping us in line!
I think this is what he is referring to.

My Sorry about my crude earlier comment.

Actually it goes like this:

A lawyer, the Pope and Oprah Windfrey was on an airplane when the pilot and co-

pilot come running out. The pilot said, "Good news, bad news and worse news, what do ya want first?"

"As the world's smartest talk show host, I'll decide. Bad news first, then good then worst." Said Oprah. They all agreed.

"So," the pilot said, " bad news is the plane is goin' down. The good news is I will ride it out and leave you guys the parachutes."

"And the worst news?" Asked the Pope.

"There is four of yuns and only three chutes." Said the pilot. He went back in the front.

The co-pilot was a new father so the others let him take the first chute which was packed in a leather bag.

Then Oprah said, "I am the world's smartest talk show host. You two sort it out. She grabbed the leather bag from the lawyer and followed the co-pilot."

"Well my son now what do we do?" said the Pope to the lawyer.

The lawyer replied, "Don't fret, Father. The world's smartest talk show host just jumped out of the plane with my briefcase."

Good morning my friends. :)

I have a favor to ask. Please refrain from making posts that are political, or religious in nature.

This is a Chainsaw Forum. There are many places on the World Wide Web that any of us can go to discuss those topics. Please.....let's leave that sort of stuff alone here. Bringing those discussions here will only serve to destroy the unity that we are hoping to have on this site.

Thanks for you assistance in this matter, Randy
Absolutely true.

I believe it's too late to agree not to talk about "girls" -- it looks like that subject is already widely discussed. I've been married to the greatest for 27 years now.
It will be interesting to see how the members abide by the rule not to discuss these two topics.

It's not really a rule.

It's simply a request.

As members we should ask ourselves a few questions.

Why am I here?

Do I want a quality site without excessive drama?

Do I add to, or detract from?

Etc...

I appreciate the spirit in which it is put forth here. I'm sure many members have some strong beliefs about both subjects. I don't come here for information about either subject actually, even though I have participated in discussions on each on various occasions. I am not interested in any drama. It is my desire to learn and contribute about chainsaws, building, repair and even restoration. Thanks for the way you moderate. I've come to appreciate it thus far.

I do feel that the subject of politics and religion leads to heated arguments on occasion but i think the problem will arise when someone or their family is touched by tragedy. Then as good Christians do, we raise funds and call for prayer to help them. Prayer being equally and imo more important. I guess that bridge will be crossed when we get there. Growing pains and such.....but i would hate to see a call to prayer on someones behalf be frowned upon due to the fact we dont want to upset a non believing memeber and their right not to pray. IMHO it isn't likely that mentioning prayer generically especially in that context would ruffle feathers, but more specific references might
even the atheists I know aren't bothered by prayers, no more obtrusive than someone mumbling quietly to themselves
if this violates the sprit of the guidlines I am happy to delete at anyone's request, just pm me

I hope you don't think I mean prayer should not be mentioned.....pray for me. I appreciate it.

That is not the point I am hoping to make here at all.

My point is this......

We should respect each person enough to not have to tell them that the way they pray, or do not pray is wrong.

I got'cha and understand. I believe if we respect each other this shouldnt be an issue. I applaud the effort to nip it i the bud.
